Last revised on 2/27/2017 When you go to our Auction History at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/archive.html (our online sales results database) you are able to search just about ALL the results from our 27+ years of selling movie paper (and we automatically add our latest sales after the close of each set of auctions). There is NO charge of any kind, and unlike other much smaller databases, you don't even have to register on our site to use it! As of this writing, there are 1,353,965 sales results and 1,309,088 movie paper images (and 999 more of each will be added Sunday when those auctions close in less than a day!). This is far and away the most movie poster images on ANY website! We originally wrote about this database way back at the end of September of 2010. At that time, we stated that, "We WISH we had an incredible search of these archives that could account for mis-spellings and slightly altered search terms", because at that time, we did not have any search filters, and it had lots and lots of errors scattered throughout (which means it was very similar to other online databases, although even then it had many more entries and images than ANY other poster database). How MANY did it have seven years ago? Back then it had 501,523 sales results and 331,617 movie paper images. Note that back then it had 40% of what it has now (entry wise). That is because we have run a staggering 850,000+ auctions in the six and a third years since that time! And notice that back then, we had a whopping 170,000 entries with no images attached, and yet now we only have 44,000. That is because we went to great expense to track down those missing 126,000 images! And we won't rest until we locate most of the remaining missing 44,000. A few will likely never be found, but most of the others are here (but the delay is in the time-consuming effort of attaching just the right one to each auction). But over that time, in addition to locating those missing 126,000 images, we have just as importantly vastly upgraded our Auction History to make thousands upon thousands of corrections, worked to account for mis-spellings (and other nuances), and most importantly, we added more powerful features (such as our Search Filters). Yet, adding all these improvements comes with a bit of a learning curve. So it is VITALLY IMPORTANT that you read our "Search Tips" Page at http://www.emovieposter.com/includes/searchtips_ah.php and also that you read the Style Key and Condition Guide, because after you do so, your time spent in this amazing database will be vastly more productive! It costs a fortune to host, maintain and improve this database, and one of these days we may have to start charging for using some or all of it. So be sure to make the most of it while it remains completely free to all (and remember that it is the ONLY such database that offers 100% accurate results; all other such databases are filled with results that fell through or never happened, while we guarantee that EVERY single one of our results took place on the date listed, and that the price listed was paid in cash)!
