From 2011-2016 there was a great information movie poster (“MP” below refers to "movie posters") website called MoviePosterCollectors.com (“MPC.com”), run by a tireless collector named Mel Hutson.

Its primary purpose was to educate new MP collectors in all aspects of collecting, including buying, authenticating, accurately valuing, framing, shipping, appreciating the best MP images (5K+ images), and learning about the best MP books and MP internet resources. It rose high in the Google rankings. The best loved section included 50+ "MP authentications" where Mr. Hutson presented side-by-side images of original posters and known reproductions/bootlegs, including the most notorious fakes, like those of Star Wars posters and the infamous "minty white" insert scandal that rocked the hobby some years back.

Unfortunately, in 2014 Mr. Hutson retired from poster collecting and sadly abandoned the MPC.com website in 2016 and it seemed gone forever (and even the MPC.com domain was claimed by a "squatter"). But now Mr. Hutson is back and has rebuilt/updated the site as MoviePosterCollectors.guide! Unlike most other MP websites, this site is 100% non-profit and non-commercial and intended solely to benefit MP collectors. I urge every collector and dealer to check it out and recommend it to new collectors, and if you have a website, consider adding a link to it on your site so it can rise again in the Google rankings.
