eMoviePoster.com - The most trusted vintage original movie poster site & the only major online auction with no buyers premiums!
U.S. Shipping Details
All buyers (U.S. AND non-U.S.) must pay the
actual cost of sending your order, plus $2 for the packaging materials. Request a Shipping Quote for your Order
For Books & Auction Catalogs, Know:
All of hardcover books, softcover books, and auction catalogs will be
shipped via Media Mail in the U.S., BUT THIS MEANS THAT THEY MUST BE SHIPPED SEPARATELY FROM
OTHER ITEMS. So if you are from the U.S. and you purchase any of these types together with any
of the other items in the auction, then you will have two packages (one that ships by Media Mail,
and one that ships by Priority Mail or UPS). Media Mail shipping is typically far cheaper than
Priority Mail or UPS Ground.
PLEASE KNOW THAT BOOKS & AUCTION CATALOGS ARE HEAVY (some extremely heavy!), SO BEAR
THIS IN MIND BEFORE PLACING BIDS ON THEM IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE THE U.S. Those in the U.S. will get
a great savings when those items are shipped by Media Mail, but they WILL have two packages
if they purchase other types of items as well, which will up the total shipping cost.
For Bulk Lots, Know:
Since the
cost to ship varies drastically depending on where the buyer lives
(especially if they live outside the U.S.), we will only calculate
the cost of shipping AFTER the auction is closed, and once
we have the address where it will be shipped to. PLEASE NOTE
THAT SOME OF THESE "BULK LOTS" ARE QUITE "BULKY", SO PLEASE LOOK
AT WHAT IS CONTAINED IN THE LOT AND TAKE A GUESS AS TO HOW MUCH
IT WILL COST TO GET IT SENT TO YOU (depending on where you
live), AND INCLUDE THAT AMOUNT IN YOUR BID (so if you think
it will cost $30 to send it to you, and you want to pay $100 for
the lot, then bid $70, because you will be paying approximately
$30 in shipping). Of course, some of the bulk lots are not that
large, and may only cost $10 or $15 for U.S. shipping, but you
should be able to get a good idea of which cost low amounts and
which cost high amounts by looking at what is contained in each
lot. See below for more about shipping of lots BEFORE bidding!
NOTE: In the past, we offered a
"flat rate" shipping price on some of our auctions. We no longer have this,
for two reasons. One is that the shipping companies have
drastically raised their rates many times in the past few years, so we were
losing lots of money with our flat rate. The other more important reason
is that our Pay and Hold Program (see below for how this works) allows you
to have your purchases sent every TWELVE weeks, which means we will only send
you packages four times a year, and almost all of those packages were
already being charged the actual cost anyway. We urge all of our
customers to join the Pay and Hold Program, because it really saves you a
massive amount on shipping!
Can we send your order in a less expensive way?
We have
purchased movie paper items many hundreds of times over the internet
ourselves, and we have seen the tubes and oversized flat packages that other
sellers use (both the free kind and the kind purchased at shipping supply
stores), and the protection offered by those tubes is spotty at best (those
cheaper tubes will often get bent resulting in creasing or tearing to the
poster, or in extreme cases, a tube can even lose a cap from an end
resulting in the buyer receiving a tube but no posters!), so please do not
ask us to use a lighter weight tube or oversized flat package or less expensive packing materials to save on
shipping, because we won't do it! We know that once you see our tubes
and oversized flat packages you will agree that they are a great investment in protecting your purchase(s) and you will wonder why other sellers of vintage movie paper do
not use these same tubes and oversized flat packages
(and if somehow you don't agree with us, we ask you
not to bid at all!). WHEN WE SELL OVERSIZED ITEMS, THERE ARE ALWAYS A FEW PEOPLE WHO SEEM SURPRISED BY JUST HOW MUCH IT
COSTS TO SHIP THEM, AND WE DON'T WANT THAT TO HAPPEN, SO
PLEASE REALIZE THAT THE SHIPPING OF THESE ITEMS MIGHT BE CONSIDERABLE, AND BEAR
THAT IN MIND BEFORE YOU PLACE YOUR BID!
More Details
Missouri, California, Washington, and Illinois customers: If your order is sent within these states, we MUST
collect sales tax, and we will do so automatically (unless you have a Reseller
Certificate from your state in which case you need to reply to this email with
a copy of that Certificate, so you can be exempted from the sales tax).
Combining Orders
We always combine shipping when it is safe to do so to save you
LOTS of money, so there is a possibility of combining items from up to 18 sets of auctions (up to
24,000 items in all) as well as with our Fixed
Price store items! Here is how combining works with examples:
- We will always automatically combine like items as much as possible so
long as it is safe to do (such as "flat" package items with "flat" package
items, "rolled" with "rolled", "linen" with "linen", etc). So we'll put up to 30
similar-sized rolled posters into a single tube, but no more. We will NOT
combine linenbacked and non-linenbacked items because of the great chance of
damage the heavy linenbacked posters can cause to non-backed posters (you may
ask us to combine them anyway, but you will have to accept the risk of damage in
writing).
- Have you heard about our Pay and Hold
Program? This lets buyers pay for their purchases from 12 consecutive weeks
(a total of 18 auctions and around 24,000+ items!), and we then send all your
purchases at once saving you LOTS of money! Click
HERE to learn more about becoming one of the hundreds of our U.S. buyers
who are already part of this program.
- For Fixed Price store items, we
will automatically combine your purchases from the store along with any auction purchases you have
made to save you money on shipping. If items can't be combined, our Checkout will show you that, and
you will be charged for the separate packages.
P.O. Box Shipping
We can offer the cheaper method of shipping between UPS or the Post Office. Sometimes (especially with packages over five pounds, but always with packages over ten pounds), it can be far cheaper to ship via UPS than the Post Office, and the difference can be substantial. When this happens, we will present you with two options: 1) You can provide us with a street address so we can send your order via UPS at the fixed rate shipping or 2) You can pay the actual cost of shipping via the Post Office to your P.O. Box.
UPS Shipping
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature
to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will
need to pay the extra $5 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery
Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the
package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it
up. But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other
special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.
IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE
WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED!
