DON'T LIKE BIDDING IN
AUCTIONS?
We have hundreds of items at fixed prices that you can purchase our fixed priced items
from our website using our
Fixed Price Gallery (there is a link to this gallery on our
homepage)!
There are lots of great items, and we sell lots of them each week. |
|
DON'T BE FOOLED BY OUR ULTRA-LOW STARTING
PRICES! |
|
Some eBay bidders have
clicked on our items and seeing the low current prices are afraid that we
might be selling reproductions. WE ARE ONE OF THE VERY FEW EBAY SELLERS WHO
ACTUALLY LET THE BIDDERS DETERMINE THE FINAL PRICES OF OUR ITEMS! Our final
selling prices are set by 2 or more actual bidders. IF AN ITEM IS
CURRENTLY FAR BELOW ITS REGULAR PRICE, THEN IT IS A GREAT BUY FOR NOW, & YOU
SHOULD BE BIDDING ON IT (but realize that most long-time eBay bidders wait
for the final seconds to bid, so don't be lulled into a false sense of
security because you are the high bidder with minutes to go). If
you place your maximum bid (the highest amount you would reasonably pay for
the item) then you will at least know that you made your best effort, and
can accept losing the item if you are outbid. Every week, we get
e-mails from bidders who regret not having bid higher (and given that most of
the items we are selling this week are rare and desirable, it may be some
time before they come up for auction again)! |
|
DO WE REALLY REALIZE HIGHER
PRICES THAN OTHER EBAY SELLERS, AND IF SO, WHY? |
|
Some people say we get higher prices for many
items than other sellers do. But is this really true? It IS true
that you sometimes see the same (or similar) item as one we sold sell for
less elsewhere on eBay, but it is quite possible that that item was in
lesser condition than the one we sold. After all, we give a completely
honest condition grade for each item, and other sellers are
often either "optimistic", or fail to consider some defects when
determining the condition of an item. So there is
no fair way to compare our results to other sellers' results. Also, we
take the uncertainty out of buying on eBay, and that is a very BIG
difference! In addition to giving honest condition
gradings (and providing huge UN-RETOUCHED digital images of every item!), we also pack our items
extremely well, ship them promptly, and
only charge a reasonable charge to ship. WE HAVE BEEN FREQUENT BUYERS
OURSELVES ON EBAY, AND WE KNOW THAT WHAT WE SAY IS TRUE! We have
prepared a special page that shows examples of items we have purchased on
eBay that were either badly mis-described or terribly packed. Click
HERE to go to that page (WARNING:
You'll see graphic pictures that may shock and disturb you!). |

Every Tuesday (as we have for 379 nearly consecutive weeks), eMoviePoster adds
500 to
2000 items to the eBay site on the Internet. All the items begin
around
7 PM CST, which means they close the following Tuesday night
around the
same time. If you go to our list of items each Tuesday
night PRIOR
to 7 PM CST, you can view the current items just before they
close (so
you can make last minute bids, in case snipers have outbid you),
plus
you can look at the items for the upcoming week (we add the next
week’s
items just as the current items close). Each of our weekly
sales
contain around $20,000-$50,000 of movie posters, lobby cards,
and/or
other movie paper, and EVERY ITEM starts at 99 cents, with NO
RESERVES
on any item, which means these have competitive bidding (where
the final
prices are set by two or more real bidders, not by you bidding
against a
reserve). Far too many eBay items have sky-high reserves,
which is
why so many go unsold. Over 98% of OUR over 270,000+ eBay
items to date
have sold, and in the last couple of years, just about every single
item has
sold! |
