Why are we auctioning lobby card sets AND still sets together?
     In our new bi-weekly auctions, we combine all of these types of posters into a single auction. We find that many of the same people buy each of these types of posters, and by offering them in the same set of auctions, they can have a wider variety of items to choose from!

About the originality of the still sets we are offering
    WE GUARANTEE THAT EVERY STILL IN THE STILL SETS ARE ORIGINAL. Why?  Because these stills are from several remarkable collections, which were purchased by VERY knowledgeable collectors, who could tell original stills from repros, reissues, or restrikes and it only contains original stills, and YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT!  We know you will agree these are surely original stills, but if you have the slightest doubt, you can return ANY still within one week for a no questions asked refund!

About surface scuffs and creasing in the still sets we are offering
    As anyone who looks at old photos knows, twenty to eighty year old photos are almost certain to pick up faint scuffs and creases in the surface emulsion of the photo. Vintage stills are the same way. But when these creases and scuffs are light, you can't see them when you look directly at the still from straight on, but you CAN see them when you tilt the still to the light. We don't consider this a major defect, because we don't know anyone who displays their stills tilted to the light. So if a still has minor scuffs and creases that are not very visible when it is viewed straight on, we still grade it as "very good or very good to fine" (or a higher grade). The only exception to this is if there are scuffs and creases throughout the entire still. Then we grade it as "lesser" (or a lower grade), even if the scuffs and creases are not visible when looked at straight on. We DO feel most collectors can accept minor surface scuffs and creases that can hardly be seen from straight on and are relatively minor. If you disagree, you probably should think long and hard before bidding on the stills that we grade as "lesser", or "very good or very good to fine" (but you still likely will be happy with the stills we grade as "fine or better", because we won't give a still those grades if there are scuffs in the surface emulsion that are at all visible when the still is viewed head-on).

MANY OTHER SELLERS WOULD ASK $4.99, $6.99, $9.99, OR MORE EACH FOR REPRODUCTIONS OF STILLS THE SAME OR SIMILAR TO THESE, AND MOST OTHER SELLERS START SIMILAR ORIGINAL VINTAGE STILLS AT $14.99 OR MORE EACH but you may be able to buy one or more stills from us this week for as low as $1 PER STILL (if you are the only bidder, but of course, there may well be other bidders; IN OUR AUCTIONS, THE FINAL PRICES ARE ALWAYS SET BY TWO REAL BIDDERS, NOT BY YOU BIDDING AGAINST AN ARTIFICIAL RESERVE, "STARTING PRICE", or a "HOUSE BIDDER", who seems to have a spooky ability to always bid just under your bid!). And these are vintage stills, which have collectible value, as opposed to reproduction stills, which have NO collectible value.

About the condition of the still sets and lobby card sets
    We give a detailed overall condition grade ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", and only a few which are less than "good to very good") along with more details about the condition described in words (where we thought additional details were needed, because the defects were hard to see).  We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily.  Of course, we could not describe every single defect, so we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the still for minor defects that we did NOT describe.

Because we are auctioning both lobby sets and still sets, we have two different U.S. shipping rates. U.S. buyers of lobby card sets (or lobby card sets and still sets together) need to enclose $12 shipping (which includes full insurance), no matter how many items you purchase from this set of auctions! If you SOLELY purchase still sets the U.S. shipping is $8, but if you later combine the still sets with any $12 shipping items, the shipping goes to $12. NOTE: Our $12 flat rate shipping is good for two weeks. If you haven't paid within two weeks after your oldest unshipped purchase, you will then be quoted the actual cost of shipping when you request it. Learn the exact details of flat rate shipping

Missouri, Arizona, California, and Washington customers: If your order is sent within these states, we MUST collect sales tax, and we will do so automatically (unless you have a Reseller Certificate from your state in which case you need email us a copy of that Certificate, so you can be exempted from the sales tax).

Do you need "signature required"?
 Neither UPS nor USPS automatically require a signature to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will need to pay the extra $5.00 for UPS or $2.60 for USPS that they charge for "signature required", and please realize that they will then NOT leave the package at the door, and you may well have to go to the UPS or USPS facility yourself to pick it up if you aren't there to meet the delivery person. If you have any other special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order. IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED (unless your package has a dollar value over $300, in which case we will ALWAYS send it with signature required, due to the massive rise in "porch thefts", unless you specifically tell us not to, and you will need to fully accept responsibility for the package if it is stolen from your porch or lobby)!

You CAN usually combine shipment!

NOTE: These items need to be sent in small flat packages so... *they can be combined with these auctions (but note that if you win other items that have a higher flat rate shipping, you will need to pay the higher cost of shipping from those items): Sunday January 5th bulk lots that ship flat Tuesday January 7th glass slides, German programs, and art Thursday January 23rd window card, French, Italian, 3sh, 6sh, & more Sunday January 26th folded one sheets and folded non-U.S. posters and LCs Tuesday February 4th all signed items and all sorts of miscellaneous items *they must be sent separately from these auctions for an additional shipping charge: Sunday January 5th bulk lots that ship rolled Tuesday January 21st non-U.S. posters from 21 countries AND "special" rolled posters AND rolled one-sheets

Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single set of Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items (even if you get 100 or more, but solely from a single set!), but we also allow you to wait to have your purchases shipped until the next four weeks of auctions end (a total of up to twelve sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions (if possible; see Learn More About Combining), and that means there is a chance you could combine items from up to twelve of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package, but of course, there is a limit to how many items can fit in a single package or tube, and if you end up with several packages, you will need to pay that many shipping charges; Learn More About Combining). Since around half of our auctions have items that ship in tubes and the other half have items that ship in flat packages, and since few of those items can be combined, most of our regular buyers end up with at least two packages after four weeks. We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do (and of course, there are others who charge far more!), but none of the ones with lower rates offer the same generous flat rate shipping we do, and we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear these approximate shipping cost in mind BEFORE you place a bid (if you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large "brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!
