December 2011 Mini/Major Auction

Our Spring 2012 Mini/Major Auction has an incredible selection of posters and lobby cards (1,514 items in all!), covering all years, genres, and sizes and is being run in four parts:

Part I (COMPLETED!): 529 linenbacked posters (one-sheets, quads, and all smaller sizes)
Part II (Tuesday April 24th to May 1st): 282 rolled (or formerly folded) unbacked posters of all types that fit in standard tubes
Part III (Thursday April 26th to May 3rd): 448 folded one-sheets, lobby cards, and other items that fit in standard flat packages
Part IV (Sunday April 29th to May 6th): 255 backed & unbacked oversized posters of all types

What distinguishes OUR Mini/Major Auctions from other major auctions? Only the lack of any reserves or buyers premiums, honest condition grading, and unenhanced super-sized images! You will find an amazing "supermarket" selection of great posters from all years, genres, and countries!

Special bonus offers to the buyers from this special auction
If you are a member of our weekly e-mail club, we will be offering our most generous bonus offers ever to those who purchase just FOUR items from any of the parts combined (you need just purchase a total of four items from any of the parts).  We will have multiple great offers for those who purchase as few as four items, and as many as ten or more, and you get these just for being a member of the club (so if you are not already a member, and over 7,281 collectors already are, then why not join today by going to https://www.emovieposter.com/club/settings.php
). It is fine with us if you join the club just to get the bonuses and then "unsubscribe"!

How is this Part IV of our mini/major auction different from Parts II or III (held on Tuesday and Thursday)?
The items in Part IV do NOT end at 7 PM CST like those in Parts II and III do, but instead they begin ending at 3 PM CST, which means that our European bidders will not have to get up in the middle of the night to bid at the end of our auctions (and of course, most of our American bidders will not be working on Sundays, so they will have easy access to their computers as well).

About our current 255 "oversized", linenbacked, or paperbacked items
All of the items we are currently auctioning are "oversized", linenbacked, or paperbacked, meaning that they can't be sent in our regular standard-sized flat mailers, or our tubes that measure 32" or shorter. Some must be sent rolled in really oversized tubes (a very few can be sent in "regular" width tubes because they are very long but are not very wide, like rolled door panels) and some must be sent in oversized flat packages (all larger than the size of lobby cards, and some much larger). This means that, this week only, we can ONLY combine shipment of some of the items with each other, and if you purchase multiple items, you may need multiple packages, and you may have to pay two or more separate shipping charges. It should be pretty simple to tell which items can be combined with each other, but if you are unsure about what can or can not be combined, please e-mail us and we'll be happy to tell you. Either way, you will have to pay a greater amount for shipping than normal (especially if you live outside the U.S.), as the U.S. Post Office has recently increased their rates yet again. We charge the "actual" cost of shipping this week (plus $3 for packaging materials) to all buyers (U.S. and non-U.S.). Note that our shipping estimate charts below for non-U.S. buyers are only of limited use (and the actual cost can vary drastically from the charts, so PLEASE do not think that you can rely on them!), due to the wide variance of the size of the packages, so if knowing the actual shipping cost is important to you before you bid, please contact us with the item or items, along with where you live.

About the condition
We give a detailed overall condition grade ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", and only a few which are "good" or lesser) along with more details about the condition described in words (where we thought additional details were needed, because the defects were hard to see). We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily. Of course, we could not describe every single defect, so we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the still for minor defects that we did NOT describe.

Payment Options

U.S. orders (and ONLY U.S. orders) with flat rate shipping can quickly be completed via Credit/Debit Card or PayPal in our Checkout system.
If your order requires a shipping quote and you have received your quote, you may pay via PayPal manually to "mail@emovieposter.com", but know that PayPal has many glitches, so you need to e-mail us separately stating that you completed payment Learn More Here are step-by-step instructions if you need help paying manually with PayPal.

For both U.S. and non-U.S. orders:

We accept all major credit cards via phone at +1 (417) 256-9616 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM CST to 5 PM CST except from 12 to 1 when we take lunch), via e-mail, or via fax at +1 (417) 257-6948.

You can send a check or money order in U.S. funds (if you do, enclose your address and details about what you purchased) to:
Bruce Hershenson
Attn: Payments
P.O. Box 874
West Plains, MO 65775

If it is your best payment option, you can pay by Western Union, but please don't send cash (as we can't be responsible for lost cash).

If your order requires a shipping quote, please request it through our Checkout system. Please note that we are still developing this checkout system, so while you may request your quote using it, we do not quite have it ready to complete payment (although we hope to have that added soon), but payment may still be completed using whatever method you have used in the past. If you run into any sort of problem requesting your quotes, please e-mail Phillip right away so we can get it addressed.

U.S. Shipping Details

IN THIS SET OF AUCTIONS ONLY, all buyers (U.S. AND non-U.S.) must pay the actual cost of sending your order, plus $3 for the packaging materials.
Why don't we have a "flat rate" for U.S. orders in this set of auctions, like we do most auctions? Because we are selling oversized posters of all shapes and sizes, some of which must be sent in our custom-made extra heavy duty gorilla proof mailing tubes, and some of which must be sent in "very oversized" flat packages which are much stronger than the ones used by most sellers (*read more about our "gorilla proof" tubes or packages that stand up to the greatest of abuse, and we wrap all expensive items in plastic, so that even a submerged tube or package will likely arrive undamaged!). Shipping will vary greatly depending on how many items you get, what the weight of the posters are, if they fit in the same package, and where you live. Generally it will cost $18 at the very least to send an oversized tube or flat package anywhere in the U.S. by either U.S. mail or UPS, fully insured (all U.S. orders MUST be fully insured).
Can we send your order in a less expensive way? We have purchased movie paper items many hundreds of times over the Internet ourselves, and we have seen the tubes and oversized flat packages that other sellers use (both the free kind and the kind purchased at shipping supply stores), and the protection offered by those tubes is spotty at best (those cheaper tubes will often get bent resulting in creasing or tearing to the poster, or in extreme cases, a tube can even lose a cap from an end resulting in the buyer receiving a tube but no posters!), so please do not ask us to use a lighter weight tube or oversized flat package or less expensive packing materials to save on shipping, because we won't do it! We know that once you see our tubes and oversized flat packages you will agree that they are a great investment in protecting your purchase(s) and you will wonder why other sellers of vintage movie paper do not use these same tubes and oversized flat packages
(and if somehow you don't agree with us, we ask you not to bid at all!).

Will your order be shipped to you by UPS?
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will need to pay the extra $2.50 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it up.  But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.
IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED!

You CAN usually combine shipment!

NOTE: These Sunday items need to be sent in oversized flat packages OR rolled in oversized tubes so...

*
There is a chance "really oversized flat items" can be combined with these auctions and we will combine them if there is no chance of damage to any of them items you win:

Tuesday April 10th folded non-U.S. posters & non-U.S. lobby cards
Thursday April 12th single stills
Sunday April 15th 'regular' Sunday items
Tuesday April 24th lots of 2+ stills from a single title
Thursday April 26th heralds
Thursday May 3rd one-sheets & lobby cards in Part III of our Spring Mini/Major Auction

*There is a chance "oversized rolled items" can be combined with these auctions and we will combine them if there is no chance of damage to any of them items you win:

Tuesday April 17th rolled non-U.S. posters
Thursday April 19th rolled "special" posters
Sunday April 22nd Japanese B2 posters
Sunday April 29th linenbacked items in Part I of our Spring Mini/Major Auction (NOTE: Only linenbacked posters can be combined with linenbacked posters)
Tuesday May 1st items in Part II of our Spring Mini/Major Auction

*they must be ALL be sent separately from these auctions for an additional shipping charge:

Sunday April 15th 'bulk lots' Sunday items

Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single set of Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items, but we also allow you to wait until the next five sets of auctions end (a total of six sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions (if possible), and that means there is a chance you could combine items from up to six of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package). We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF U.S. SHIPPING PLUS $3 FOR PACKAGING MATERIALS (and on a set of auctions like this, when we use very large tubes and flat packages, the $3 does not come close to covering the cost of those materials).

Non-U.S. Shipping Details

Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order (you can choose whatever method you prefer), plus $3 for packaging materials. All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or uninsured at the time they pay for their order. KNOW THAT IT CAN BE BETWEEN SOMEWHAT EXPENSIVE AND EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE TO SEND THESE OVERSIZED ITEMS OUTSIDE THE U.S., AND THE BELOW CHARTS ARE ONLY A VERY ROUGH GUIDE TO THE ACTUAL COSTS. We do not make a penny on the shipping (because we charge the actual cost), BUT PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THE SUBSTANTIAL ADDED SHIPPING COSTS BEFORE YOU PLACE A BID ON THESE ITEMS!

Have you heard about our Pay and Hold Program?
This lets non-U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 4 consecutive weeks (a total of 12 auctions and around 8,000+ items!), and we then send all your purchases at once saving you LOTS of money!  Click HERE to learn more about becoming one of the hundreds of our non-U.S. buyers who are already part of this program.

Here is a chart containing estimated shipping charges for up to 3 rolled oversized items (see the chart above) from this set of  auctions
NOTE:
These are ESTIMATES only, and your actual shipping may be more or less than these estimates.
ALSO NOTE:
Insurance will increase the cost of shipping by approximately $1.60 for each $100 of insurance.

IMPORTANT! We charge the "actual" cost of shipping this week (plus $3 for packaging materials) to all buyers (U.S. and non-U.S.), because we are selling items of 100 different sizes, and our shipping estimate charts below for non-U.S. buyers are only of limited use, due to the wide variance of the size of the packages, so if knowing the actual shipping cost is important to you before you bid, please contact us with the item or items, along with where you live.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear this shipping cost in mind BEFORE your place a bid (if you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large "brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (both within and outside the U.S.). We only add $3 for packaging materials (and on a set of auctions like this, when we use very large tubes and flat packages, the $3 does not come close to covering the cost of those materials).

You Can Add More to Your Order
In addition to our current auctions, we offer many other non-auction items. Please note that the items in this set of auctions will be sent in very oversized flat packages OR rolled in oversized tubes, so you can add any item that can also be sent in very oversized flat packages OR rolled in oversized tubes for little or no additional shipping costs (NOTE: if we can add it to your package without raising the cost of shipping, then we will do so with no added shipping charge, but if it raises the cost then you will need to pay the difference). We have noted below whether the items can be shipped rolled or not.
