Details About These Thursday Items

About this week's items
In this set of auctions (our final one before our Spring 2012 Mini/Major Auction), we are auctioning a lot of Spanish & U.S. heralds and a few other small items, and the U.S. shipping for all of those is $7.
      U.S. Heralds
were made from the 1910s to the 1960s. Theaters would order heralds by the thousands (they usually cost around $3 per thousand!). They would then hire people to stand on busy street corners and pass them out to all who walked by. Since the vast majority of people looked at the herald for a moment and then threw it away, it is not surprising that not many heralds survive. Most heralds are a single sheet of paper that is folded in half, creating four small pages. The front of the herald usually has just the title of the movie and images of the stars (like a small poster) and the two middle pages usually have a lot of information about the movie along with more images (and sometimes these images are found nowhere but the herald).
Spanish heralds are similar to U.S. heralds, but they are usually all the same size, and most are NOT folded in half, but are a single piece of paper that has the full-color poster image on one side and the theater information in black and white on the other side (often they are found with a blank back, because the theater did not overprint that side).
The nicest thing about heralds is that they often represent an extremely affordable way to purchase an original item from a classic movie, and often you get a full-color poster image! And also, sometimes they represent the only way you can find an original item from some movies where it seems that next-to-nothing else survives!

About the condition of the items
Note that we give a detailed overall condition grade to every item we sell ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", and "good", with only a few graded "fair" or lesser) along with more details about the condition described in words (but pretty much a general description of the defects, and we only describe specific defects if they are the type that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized images, or if the item is especially valuable). We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily. Of course, we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the poster for minor defects that we did NOT describe.  Of course, with the items that have many pages, we could not photograph every single page, but we often photograph both covers and an interior two-page spread, which should surely give you an excellent idea of the overall condition of that item.

Payment Options

U.S. orders (and ONLY U.S. orders) with flat rate shipping can quickly be completed via Credit/Debit Card or PayPal in our Checkout system.
If your order requires a shipping quote and you have received your quote, you may pay via PayPal manually to "mail@emovieposter.com", but know that PayPal has many glitches, so you need to e-mail us separately stating that you completed payment Learn More Here are step-by-step instructions if you need help paying manually with PayPal.

For both U.S. and non-U.S. orders:

We accept all major credit cards via phone at +1 (417) 256-9616 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM CST to 5 PM CST except from 12 to 1 when we take lunch), via e-mail, or via fax at +1 (417) 257-6948.

You can send a check or money order in U.S. funds (if you do, enclose your address and details about what you purchased) to:
Bruce Hershenson
Attn: Payments
P.O. Box 874
West Plains, MO 65775

If it is your best payment option, you can pay by Western Union, but please don't send cash (as we can't be responsible for lost cash).

If your order requires a shipping quote, please request it through our Checkout system. Please note that we are still developing this checkout system, so while you may request your quote using it, we do not quite have it ready to complete payment (although we hope to have that added soon), but payment may still be completed using whatever method you have used in the past. If you run into any sort of problem requesting your quotes, please e-mail Phillip right away so we can get it addressed.

U.S. Shipping Details

U.S. customers pay only $7 for shipping ANY quantity of items in this set of auctions!
Because these items can be sent in smaller packages, we charge just $7 U.S. shipping for any purchases in this set of auctions.  But if you purchase other items from other sets of auctions, and you want us to add these items to those, then you will have to pay the higher regular U.S. shipping. Finally, note that we fully insure all U.S. orders, and we lose money on the shipping of most orders of multiple items (even if you buy 20 or 50 of these, you will only pay $7 U.S. shipping for ALL of them!), but this way we reward those who buy many items.
Missouri customers: You must pay an additional 7.162% sales tax on your purchases.  If your order is sent within the state of Missouri, we MUST collect this tax (if it is shipped to another state, we do not collect the tax).

Will your order be shipped to you by UPS?
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will need to pay the extra $3.00 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it up.  But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.
IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED!

You CAN usually combine shipment!

NOTE: These Thursday items need to be sent in small flat packages so...

*they can be combined with these auctions (Note the higher U.S. shipping cost of some auctions):

Sunday April 8th 'regular' Sunday items ($11)
Tuesday April 10th folded non-U.S. posters & non-U.S. lobby cards ($11)
Thursday April 12th single stills
Sunday April 15th 'regular' Sunday items ($11)
Tuesday April 24th lots of 2+ stills from a single title

*they must be sent separately from these auctions for an additional shipping charge:

Tuesday April 3rd rolled non-U.S. posters
Thursday April 5th rolled one-sheets
Sunday March 25th or April 1st or 8th 'bulk lot' Sunday auctions
Tuesday April 17th rolled non-U.S. posters
Thursday April 19th rolled "special" posters
Sunday April 22nd Japanese B2 posters

Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single set of Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items, but we also allow you to wait until the next five sets of auctions end (a total of six sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions (if possible), and that means there is a chance you could combine items from up to six of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package). We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE $7 U.S. SHIPPING!

Non-U.S. Shipping Details

Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order (you can choose whatever method you prefer), plus $3, for both the best packaging materials you have ever seen and a separate printed invoice mailed to you.  All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or uninsured at the time they pay for their order.

For Canada or Mexico, we estimate the "actual cost of shipping" to be approximately $12 for First Class or $16 to $25 for Priority Mail for up to 20 items.

For everywhere else in the world, we estimate the "actual cost of shipping" to be approximately $15 for First Class or $20 to $40 for Priority Mail for up to 20 items.

Have you heard about our Pay and Hold Program?
This lets non-U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 4 consecutive weeks (a total of 12 auctions and around 8,000+ items!), and we then send all your purchases at once saving you LOTS of money!  Click HERE to learn more about becoming one of the hundreds of our non-U.S. buyers who are already part of this program.

Learn more about how to save money on shipping by shipping to friends/family in the U.S., insurance, and customs fees.

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (the actual cost of shipping plus $3 outside the U.S.)!

You Can Add More to Your Order
In addition to our current auctions, we offer many other non-auction items. Please note that the items in this set of auctions will be sent in flat packages, so you can add any item that can also be sent in flat packages for little or no additional shipping costs (NOTE: if we can add it to your package without raising the cost of shipping, then we will do so with no added shipping charge, but if it raises the cost then you will need to pay the difference). We have noted below whether the items can be shipped rolled or not.
