Details About These Sunday's Items

HERE IS A CHART OF THE ITEMS IN THIS AUCTION:
(to better help you find the types of items that interest you)

NOTE THAT THIS IS "PART I" OF THIS ALL SIGNED AUCTION. Part II (containing mostly different types of signed items) will begin on March 6th after this set of auctions closes, and will contain a similar number of items, and will contain all of the remaining autographed items we have been consigned.

NOTE: EVERY item in this auction has an authentic signature on it which was hand signed onto that item by the celebrity (some of the items are reproductions which the celebrities signed, but those are clearly marked, and the ones that are not marked "REPRODUCTION" are original vintage items).  THIS IS A REALLY REMARKABLE OFFERING (which primarily comes from three wonderful collections), and if you have the slightest interest in autographed items, then you won't want to miss this auction!

ALSO NOTE: Due to the different types of packages the items in this auction ship in, some items will ship in flat packages for $6 or $10 to the U.S. We have noted in the below chart and on each individual item's auction page how they will be shipped. We will be sure to combine items into a single package whenever possible, but realize if you purchase both $10 and $6 U.S. shipping items, you will be charged the higher $10 rate.

ALL OF THESE SHIP TO THE U.S. FOR $10 IN A FLAT PACKAGE:
9r001 26TH ANNUAL ACADEMY AWARDS 1954 signed by ten who were there including Elizabeth Taylor Wilding!
9r002 GLORIA SWANSON special SUNSET BLVD deluxe program
9r003-9r022 movie, stage, and TV programs
9r023-9r037 one-sheets (including ROCKY signed by Stallone), half-sheets, insert
9r038-9r072 title and scene lobby cards
9r073-9r091 German LCs, pressbooks, sheet music, songbook, promo brochures, trade-ads, magazines
9r092-9r105 newspaper pages, scripts, letter, 11x14 stills
9r106-9r109 matted REPRODUCTION stills, REPRO 11x14 still
9r110-9r117 page & film footage, book pages, comic books, REPRO publicity photos

ALL OF THESE SHIP TO THE U.S. FOR $6 IN A FLAT PACKAGE:
9r118-9r120 REPRODUCTION 8x10 and 5x7 stills
9r121-9r134 album pages, postcard, playbill, photos under 8x10
9r135-9r257 8x10 stills

Where are the many bulk lots and our usual "Sunday items" regularly offered on Sunday?
We are taking a break from our regular Sunday offerings of scripts, signed stills, Danish programs, soundtrack CDs, pressbooks, and bulk lots while we offer signed items this week, but know that we have a HUGE number of items waiting to be auctioned in our "regular" Sunday auctions, so please know that they will return in two weeks on Sunday March 13th (because we have "all signed" auctions scheduled for the next two Sundays), and almost every week thereafter.

About the autographed items
Note that a high percentage of these autographed items come to us from several different collectors who spent decades assembling their collection. We have put a paragraph (or sentence) on each auction, giving the history of how the consignor obtained the autograph (to whatever degree we know). The remaining small percentage of items were consigned to us by either collectors or dealers who purchased them from reputable autograph sellers between 10 and 30 years ago, and we believe those to surely be authentic autographs as well.
IN EVERY CASE, WE HAVE GIVEN ALL OF THE INFORMATION WE KNOW ABOUT WHERE THE AUTOGRAPH WAS OBTAINED IN THE AUCTION DESCRIPTION FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL ITEM.
A very few of the items come with a "Certificate of Authenticity", but the vast majority do not.  Please read over each auction description carefully, so you will know all we know about the provenance of that item.
Note that this is the fifth of our special "all signed" auctions! We have included almost ALL of our remaining signed items in this auction, so we will likely not have another "all signed" auction for some time (unless we are consigned a new collection). All of the main consignors (the longtime collectors who consigned the bulk of the items) have told me that they will give anyone who purchases any of these a 30 day return privilege on any of these autographed items, because they KNOW them to be genuine, and of course, that gives every buyer plenty of time to be 100% certain that they have purchased a genuine autograph!
Remember that most of these items are vintage, but that some are reproductions, and that we always clearly identify which is which.  But, IN EVERY CASE, every one of these items was personally signed by the person listed!  We know they make wonderful special gifts to those friends or family who you know really like a specific celebrity!
    This auction contain 257
personally signed (autographed) items, with lots of top stars from all years and genres!

About the condition
We give a detailed overall condition grade ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", and only a few which are less than "good to very good") along with more details about the condition described in words (where we thought additional details were needed, because the defects were hard to see).  We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily.  Of course, we could not describe every single defect, so we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the still for minor defects that we did NOT describe.

About surface scuffs and creasing on stills
As anyone who looks at old photos knows, twenty to eighty year old photos are almost certain to pick up faint scuffs and creases in the surface emulsion of the photo. Vintage stills are the same way. But when these creases and scuffs are light, you can't see them when you look directly at the still from straight on, but you CAN see them when you tilt the still to the light. We don't consider this a major defect, because we don't know anyone who displays their stills tilted to the light. So if a still has minor scuffs and creases that are not very visible when it is viewed straight on, we still grade it as "very good or very good to fine" (or a higher grade). The only exception to this is if there are scuffs and creases throughout the entire still. Then we grade it as "lesser" (or a lower grade), even if the scuffs and creases are not visible when looked at straight on. We DO feel most collectors can accept minor surface scuffs and creases that can hardly be seen from straight on and are relatively minor. If you disagree, you probably should think long and hard before bidding on the stills that we grade as "lesser", or "very good or very good to fine" (but you still likely will be happy with the stills we grade as "fine or better", because we won't give a still those grades if there are scuffs in the surface emulsion that are at all visible when the still is viewed head-on).

Payment Options

We accept all major credit cards via phone at +1 (417) 256-9616 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM CST to 5 PM CST except from 12 to 1 when we take lunch), via e-mail, or via fax at +1 (417) 257-6948.

U.S. orders with a flat rate shipping can quickly be completed via PayPal in our Checkout system. At this time, PayPal is the only payment method supported by the checkout but more payment methods and features will be added with time.
If your order requires a shipping quote and you have received your quote, you may pay via PayPal manually to "mail@emovieposter.com", but know that PayPal has many glitches, so you need to e-mail us separately stating that you completed payment Learn More Here are step-by-step instructions if you need help paying manually with PayPal.

You can send a check or money order (if you do, enclose your address and details about what you purchased) to:
Bruce Hershenson
Attn: Payments
P.O. Box 874
West Plains, MO 65775

If it is your best payment option, you can pay by Western Union, but please don't send cash (as we can't be responsible for lost cash).

If your order requires a shipping quote, please request it through our Checkout system. Please note that we are still developing this checkout system, so while you may request your quote using it, we do not quite have it ready to complete payment (although we hope to have that added soon), but payment may still be completed using whatever method you have used in the past. If you run into any sort of problem requesting your quotes, please e-mail Phillip right away so we can get it addressed.

U.S. Shipping Details

U.S. customers pay either $6 or $10 for shipping in this set of auctions!
NOTE: Due to the different types of packages the items in this auction ship in, some items will ship in flat packages for $6 or $10 to the U.S. and some will ship rolled in tubes for $10 to the U.S. We have noted in the above chart and on each individual item's auction page how they will be shipped. We will be sure to combine items into a single package whenever possible, but please be understanding that lots 7j099 to 7j140 can NOT be combined with the other items in this auction because they must be shipped rolled in tubes.

Will your order be shipped to you by UPS?
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will need to pay the extra $2.50 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it up.  But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.
IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED!

You CAN usually combine shipment!
NOTE: These Sunday items need to be sent in flat packages so...

*they can be combined with these auctions (note the shipping rates shown below):

  • Tuesday February 8th single lobby cards ($10)
  • Thursday February 10th complete and incomplete lobby card sets ($10)
  • Sunday February 13th 'regular' Sunday auctions ($6 or $10)
  • Tuesday February 15th folded one-sheets ($10)
  • Thursday February 17th lots of 8" x 10" stills ($6)
  • Sunday February 20th 'regular' Sunday auctions ($6 or $10)
  • Thursday February 24th single 8" x 10" stills ($6)
  • Sunday February 27th 'regular' Sunday auctions ($6 or $10)
  • Tuesday March 1st miscellaneous items ($10)
  • Thursday March 3rd miscellaneous items ($6 or $10)

*they must be sent separately from these auctions for an additional shipping charge:

  • Sunday January 13th, 20th, or 27th 'bulk lot' Sunday auctions
  • Tuesday February 22nd rolled non-U.S. posters

Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single set of Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items, but we also allow you to wait until the next five sets of auctions end (a total of six sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions (if possible), and that means there is a chance you could combine items from up to six of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package). We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE $6 or $10 U.S. SHIPPING!

Non-U.S. Shipping Details

Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order (you can choose whatever method you prefer, but know that the U.S. Post Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only send via Express or Airmail), plus $2 for the best packaging materials you have ever seen.  All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or uninsured at the time they pay for their order.

NOTE: Due to the different types of packages the items in this auction ship in, some items will ship in flat packages and some will ship rolled in tubes. We have noted in the above chart and on each individual item's auction page how they will be shipped. We will be sure to combine items into a single package whenever possible, but please be understanding that lots 7j099 to 7j140 can NOT be combined with the other items in this auction because they must be shipped rolled in tubes.

Have you heard about our Pay and Hold Program?
This lets non-U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 4 consecutive weeks (a total of 12 auctions and around 8,000+ items!), and we then send all your purchases at once saving you LOTS of money!  Click HERE to learn more (if you are not one of the hundreds of our non-U.S. buyers who are already part of this program)

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear these approximate shipping cost in mind BEFORE you place a bid (if you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large "brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it.  Note that there are also some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course this is not legal, and we can not do this.  We have outlined the possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!

Do you have a friend or relative who lives in the United States?
Some of our customers either visit the U.S. regularly, or have friends or relatives within the U.S., and often those customers have us send their orders to a U.S. address, and then they transport the posters from there. THIS CAN SAVE YOU A GREAT DEAL ON SHIPPING! This is fine with us, but realize that you still need to let us know within one week of receipt if you want to return anything, so don't use this method unless you are certain you will want to keep your purchases.

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (the actual cost of shipping plus $2 outside the U.S.)!

You Can Add More to Your Order
In addition to our current auctions, we offer many other non-auction items. Please note that the items in this week's auction will be sent in flat packages, so you can add any item that can also be sent in flat packages for no additional shipping costs. We have noted below whether the items can be shipped rolled or not.
