Incredible Bonus Offer!
PLUS YOU GET "Not Nominated Movie Posters" AS A BONUS THIS WEEK!
"Crazy Bruce Hershenson" says, "We are currently auctioning 268 glass slides, magazines, exhibitor magazines, presskits, German programs, and bulk lots, and I thought I would offer each buyer this week our full-color Not Nominated Movie Posters movie poster book as an added bonus!"  This collection contains 370 full-color illustrations spread over 80 pages, and it has a cover price of $20 and thousands were sold at that price! This book shows images of five films from every year from 1927 through 2000 that were NOT nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award (you will be amazed at how many truly fantastic movies were NOT nominated!). It also includes lists of what was nominated, as well as hundreds of worthy honorable mentions, all indexed and cross-referenced, making this a reference guide to what year the best films were made, and whether or not they were nominated for (or won) the Best Picture Academy Award. We offer every one of our buyers this week a copy of this great book, Not Nominated Movie Posters as a bonus, even if you just buy one $1 item!  If you don't already own this great book (or maybe even if you do!), then you should find any one of our hundreds of items to buy, just to get the bonus book!  You may get Not Nominated Movie Posters AND this item for as little as $1 plus shipping (if you are the only bidder)!

Special Notes About The Items in This Week's Sunday Auctions

How are these Sunday auctions different from our Tuesday and Thursday auctions?
The short answer is that they are almost exactly like our Tuesday and Thursday auctions, but with one important difference. This is that they do NOT end at 7 PM CST like those other auctions do, but instead they begin ending at 3 PM CST, which means that our European bidders will not have to get up in the middle of the night to bid at the end of our auctions (and of course, most of our American bidders will not be working on Sundays, so they will have easy access to their computers as well).

About the exhibitor magazines we are auctioning this Sunday
Since we started the Sunday auctions, we have been auctioning amazing collections of glass slides, movie magazines, presskits, and German programs.  Two weeks ago, we added a new kind of collectible to our Sunday auctions!  These are exhibitor magazines, which, unlike movie magazines, were SOLELY sent to theater owners, which makes them far more rare than regular movie magazines.
Included in the exhibitor magazines we are auctioning are some ultra-rare Box Office magazines ("The Pulse of the Motion Picture Industry"), Box Office is the foremost magazine purchased by theater owners (from 1932 until the present day). In the 1910s and 1920s, there were lots of similar magazines, and theater owners would subscribe to them so that they could keep up with the latest releases, decide which ones to book for their theater, and also see ads for current movies plus ads for accessories that theater owners needed. Each issue is filled with lots of information on then-current movies, including how much they were taking in (because that was the information of most interest to theater owners).
Box Office was first published in 1932, and in 1933, they got the novel idea of publishing seven different editions! Starting in May of 1933, there were six different editions for different regions of the country, and one was the "executive" edition, which included all the material from the regional editions. The different editions had mostly the same advertising, but the interior information referred to theaters in that part of the country. By the 1950s, Box Office had become the number one exhibitor magazine, and one by one, all of its rivals ceased publication. Box Office is still published today and is still subscribed to by theaters all over the country!
We are also auctioning some exhibitor magazines of other titles that were published by the same people who published Box Office.  All of these magazines are in remarkable condition, and they are very rarely offered for sale (especially the very early issues of Box Office)!  We have been consigned a fairly large collection of exhibitor magazines, and we will begin adding them to our Sunday auctions, as time permits.
THIS WEEK'S SELECTION OF EXHIBITOR MAGAZINES INCLUDES SOME OF THE ABSOLUTE EARLIEST ISSUES OF BOX OFFICE (including five of the first eleven issues ever published!).  You may never have another chance to purchase these rarities!

About the Condition
Note that we give an overall condition grade to every item we sell ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", "good", and "fair", with only a few graded "poor") along with more details about the condition described in words (but pretty much only if they are defects that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized images, or if the item is especially valuable).  We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily.  Of course, we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the item for minor defects that we did NOT describe.

If an item is in less than very good condition, should you not bid on it? Of course not, as long as you are accepting of the defects the item has! The item that is graded "very good", but has as many minor defects as is allowed under the "very good" definition is only in SLIGHTLY better condition than the best of the "good to very good" items. So please take the time to look at the larger images of items that interest you, and see if the defects are the sort that you can "live with", or are willing to restore. Some of these items are EXTREMELY rare, and it may be years before you see them offered again!

Payment Options
We accept all major credit cards, either directly over the phone at 417-256-9616 during our regular business hours which are Monday to Friday, 9 AM CST to 5 PM CST except between 12 and 1 when we take lunch, or you can e-mail us payment details, and there are still a few people who fax us!

If you like to pay via PayPal
(our PayPal e-mail is "mail@emovieposter.com"), that is fine, but know that PayPal has many glitches, and you should ABSOLUTELY e-mail us separately when you send us a PayPal payment!

You can send a check or money order (if you do, enclose your address and details about what you purchased) to:
Bruce Hershenson
Attn: Payments
P.O. Box 874
West Plains, MO 65775

If it is your best payment option, you can pay by Western Union (unlike SOME auction sites, we are not prejudiced against Western Union!). But please don't send cash (as we can't be responsible for lost cash)!

U.S. Shipping Details

U.S. buyers need to enclose $10 shipping (which includes full insurance)!
Missouri customers: You must pay an additional 7.162% sales tax on your purchases.  If your order is sent within the state of Missouri, we MUST collect this tax (if it is shipped to another state, we do not collect the tax).

Will your order be shipped to you by UPS?
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will need to pay the extra $2.50 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it up.  But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.

You CAN usually combine shipment!
NOTE: These Sunday items need to be sent in flat packages so...

*they can be combined with these auctions:

  • Tuesday March 2nd folded one-sheets
  • Thursday March 4th folded non-U.S. posters from 27 different countries
  • Sunday March 7th movie magazines, exhibitor magazines, presskits, glass slides, German programs
  • Tuesday March 9th folded one-sheets
  • Thursday March 11th single lobby cards
  • Sunday March 14th movie magazines, presskits, glass slides, German programs

*they must be sent separately from these auctions for an additional shipping charge:

  • Tuesday March 9th unfolded 27" x 41" one-sheets
  • Tuesday March 11th unfolded 27" x 40" one-sheets
  • Sunday 7th & 21st bulk lots

Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single set of Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items, but we also allow you to wait until the next five sets of auctions end (a total of six sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions (if possible), and that means there is a chance you could combine items from up to six of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package). We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).

Non-U.S. Shipping Details

Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order (you can choose whatever method you prefer, but know that the U.S. Post Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only send via Express or Airmail), plus $2 for the best packaging materials you have ever seen.  All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or uninsured at the time they pay for their order.

Have you heard about our Pay and Hold Program?
This lets non-U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 4 consecutive weeks (a total of 12 auctions and around 8,000+ items!), and we then send all your purchases at once saving you LOTS of money!  Click HERE to learn more (if you are not one of the hundreds of our non-U.S. buyers who are already part of this program)

Here is a chart containing estimated shipping charges for up to 3 items from this week's auctions (note these are ESTIMATES only, and your actual shipping may vary considerably)
(Note: Insured quotes are based on a $200 value; you pay $1.60 more for each additional $100 of insurance)

Type of Shipping Canada/Mexico Australian/Asia/Japan Everywhere Else (inc Europe)
Airmail - Uninsured $21.71 / $22.61 $29.79 $30.26
Airmail - Insured $23.61 / N/A $32.99 $33.46
Global Express - Insured $34.72 / N/A $38.05 $38.74
Global Express - Uninsured $32.82 / $32.59 $35.35 $36.04
First Class $9.95 / $14.90 $17.92 $17.92

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear these approximate shipping cost in mind BEFORE you place a bid (if you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large "brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it.  Note that there are also some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course this is not legal, and we can not do this.  We have outlined the possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!

Do you have a friend or relative who lives in the United States?
Some of our customers either visit the U.S. regularly, or have friends or relatives within the U.S., and often those customers have us send their orders to a U.S. address, and then they transport the posters from there. THIS CAN SAVE YOU A GREAT DEAL ON SHIPPING! This is fine with us, but realize that you still need to let us know within one week of receipt if you want to return anything, so don't use this method unless you are certain you will want to keep your purchases.

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (the actual cost of shipping plus $2 outside the U.S.)!

You Can Add More to Your Order
In addition to our current auctions, we offer many other non-auction items. Please note that the items in this week's auction will be sent in flat packages, so you can add any item that can also be sent in flat packages for no additional shipping costs. We have noted below whether the items can be shipped rolled or not.
