Details About These Items

About this special auction of 999 autographed items
This is the 30th "all-signed" auction from eMoviePoster.com, and it may well be our very best ever! It contains 999 signed items of all types, while it mostly contains autographs of movie-related celebrities, there are also quite a few from celebrities in other fields as well! We can't imagine anyone who has the slightest interest in autographed items not finding several items to bid on, and more likely, you may find that there are so many items of interest to you that it is hard to decide which ones you most want to pursue.

About the authenticity of the 999 autographed items being offered
A high percentage of the autographed items come to us from many different collectors/dealers who spent decades acquiring their autographs. We have put a paragraph (or sentence) on each auction, giving the history of how the consignor obtained the autograph (to whatever degree we know).
IN EVERY CASE, WE HAVE GIVEN ALL OF THE INFORMATION WE KNOW ABOUT WHERE THE AUTOGRAPH WAS OBTAINED IN THE AUCTION DESCRIPTION FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL ITEM.
Some of the items come with a "Certificate of Authenticity", and we have provided an image of those, and identified the name of the issuer of that certificate (but know that there are "good" people who issue such certificates and people who may not be "good", so don't automatically assume that having this means the item is authentic; you can research the person who issued it by searching for them on the Internet). IF THERE IS NO CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY PICTURED, THEN ONE DOES NOT COME WITH THE ITEM.  Please read over each auction description carefully, so you will know all we know about the provenance of that item.
KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT "AUTOGRAPH EXPERTS"! We strongly suggest that all bidders do whatever research they want to do about the autographs BEFORE placing bids (such as comparing the signatures to other known signatures found on the Internet).
But we also know how hard it is to be certain of an autograph's authenticity when you are not seeing the item in person. So, to make certain that we only have satisfied buyers, we will give anyone who purchases any of these a 30 day return privilege (from the date the auction closes) on any of these autographed items, and of course, that gives every buyer plenty of time to be 100% certain that they have purchased a genuine autograph! But realize that you can't return items AFTER 30 days (from the auction's closing), so be sure to do whatever checking and authenticating you need to do either before the auction ends, or within the 30 days.
Of course, we don't want people returning items because they "changed their minds", and it is vital that any returned items must be returned safely (ideally in the same packing) and received in the exact same condition it was sent, and the return offer will expire exactly 30 days after the auction closes (because we must pay our consignors, and there will be no exceptions).
Just over THREE QUARTERS of the items offered are vintage items, which means that just under ONE QUARTER of the items are later reproductions (but some of the reproductions date from as far back as the 1960s), and WE ALWAYS CLEARLY IDENTIFY WHICH IS WHICH, AND WE PUT ALL THE REPRODUCTIONS IN SEPARATE SECTIONS AT THE END OF THE AUCTIONS, SO AS TO MAKE IT EVEN MORE CLEAR.
But, IN EVERY CASE, every one of these items was actually personally signed by the person listed (if the item is a reproduction, then it means the person signed it after it was created, and the signature itself is NEVER "reproduced")! We know they make wonderful special gifts to those friends or family who you know really like a specific celebrity!

About the shipping of items in this set of auctions

Due to the different types of packages the items in this auction ship in, some items will ship in flat packages for $8 or $12 to the U.S. We have noted in the above chart and on each individual item's auction page how they will be shipped. We will be sure to combine items into a single package whenever possible, but realize if you purchase multiple types of U.S. shipping items, you will be charged the higher rate. Note that there are also some signed books that can be sent separately via Media Mail in the U.S., which is often LESS than the above rates (but we will need to give shipping quotes for those books for that reason).

About the condition

We give a detailed overall condition grade ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", and only a few which are less than "good to very good") along with more details about the condition described in words (where we thought additional details were needed, because the defects were hard to see).  We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily.  Of course, we could not describe every single defect, so we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the still for minor defects that we did NOT describe.

About surface scuffs and creasing on stills
As anyone who looks at old photos knows, twenty to eighty year old photos are almost certain to pick up faint scuffs and creases in the surface emulsion of the photo. Vintage stills are the same way. But when these creases and scuffs are light, you can't see them when you look directly at the still from straight on, but you CAN see them when you tilt the still to the light. We don't consider this a major defect, because we don't know anyone who displays their stills tilted to the light. So if a still has minor scuffs and creases that are not very visible when it is viewed straight on, we still grade it as "very good or very good to fine" (or a higher grade). The only exception to this is if there are scuffs and creases throughout the entire still. Then we grade it as "lesser" (or a lower grade), even if the scuffs and creases are not visible when looked at straight on. We DO feel most collectors can accept minor surface scuffs and creases that can hardly be seen from straight on and are relatively minor. If you disagree, you probably should think long and hard before bidding on the stills that we grade as "lesser", or "very good or very good to fine" (but you still likely will be happy with the stills we grade as "fine or better", because we won't give a still those grades if there are scuffs in the surface emulsion that are at all visible when the still is viewed head-on).

U.S. Shipping Details

THERE IS AN IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE IN THIS SET OF AUCTIONS ONLY (this "all signed" auction). All of the items being auctioned ship either in larger flat packages for $12 U.S. shipping or in smaller flat packages for $8 U.S. shipping, and you should refer to each individual auction page or the chart above to know how it will be shipped. Learn the exact details of flat rate shipping
Missouri customers: You must pay an additional 7.662% sales tax on your purchases.  If your order is sent within the state of Missouri, we MUST collect this tax (if it is shipped to another state, we do not collect the tax).

Do you need "signature required"?
Neither UPS nor USPS automatically require a signature to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will need to pay the extra $5.00 for UPS or $2.60 for USPS that they charge for "signature required", and please realize that they will then NOT leave the package at the door, and you may well have to go to the UPS or USPS facility yourself to pick it up if you aren't there to meet the delivery person. If you have any other special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order. IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED (unless your package has a dollar value over $300, in which case we will ALWAYS send it with signature required, due to the massive rise in "porch thefts", unless you specifically tell us not to, and you will need to fully accept responsibility for the package if it is stolen from your porch or lobby)!

You CAN usually combine shipment!
NOTE: These items need to be sent in flat packages so...
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT COMBINING: Flat rate shipping is good for 2 weeks worth of purchases (assuming all the items fit into a single package; Learn More About Combining). If you win items over a span of more than 14 days, you will then be charged the actual cost of shipping plus $3 for packing materials.

*They CAN be combined with these items (but know that if they can't be combined into a single package, then we will ship them in separate packages for the actual cost of shipping):

Sunday July 28th 11" x 14" program books, catalogs, and more
Sunday August 4th restored title and scene lobby cards
Tuesday August 6th window cards, Italy & French 1p, 2p, 4p, etc
Thursday August 8th lots of 2+ 8"x10" stills from the same title
Tuesday August 13th folded one-sheets
Thursday August 15th single vintage 8" x 10" stills
Sunday August 18th all hardcover books and more
Sunday August 25th program books and presskits

*They CAN'T be combined with these items:

Thursday July 25th half sheets, inserts, and more
Tuesday July 30th rolled non-U.S. posters from many countries
Thursday August 1st rolled one sheets and special posters
Tuesday August 20th rolled non U.S. posters from many countries
Thursday August 22nd rolled one-sheets and rolled special posters

Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single set of Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items (even if you get 100 or more, but solely from a single set!), but we also allow you to wait to have your purchases shipped until the next four weeks of auctions end (a total of up to twelve sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions (if possible; see Learn More About Combining), and that means there is a chance you could combine items from up to twelve of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package, but of course, there is a limit to how many items can fit in a single package or tube, and if you end up with several packages, you will need to pay that many shipping charges; Learn More About Combining). Since around half of our auctions have items that ship in tubes and the other half have items that ship in flat packages, and since few of those items can be combined, most of our regular buyers end up with at least two packages after four weeks. We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do (and of course, there are others who charge far more!), but none of the ones with lower rates offer the same generous flat rate shipping we do, and we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE COST OF SHIPPING AS STATED ON THE INDIVIDUAL AUCTION PAGES (or using the chart above).

Non-U.S. Shipping Details

Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order (you can choose whatever method you prefer, but know that the U.S. Post Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only send via Express or Airmail), plus $3 for the best packaging materials you have ever seen. All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or uninsured at the time they pay for their order.

Have you heard about our Pay and Hold Program?
This lets non-U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 8 consecutive weeks (a total of 24 auctions and around 24,000+ items!), and we then send all your purchases at once saving you LOTS of money! Click HERE to learn more about becoming one of the hundreds of our non-U.S. buyers who are already part of this program.

Here is a chart containing estimated shipping charges for up to 3 items from this set of auctions. NOTE: These are ESTIMATES only; actual shipping may cost more or less.

ALSO NOTE THAT THESE ESTIMATED RATES ARE FOR ITEMS THAT SHIP IN STANDARD SIZE FLAT PACKAGES OR SMALLER; IF YOU WIN ITEMS THAT SHIP IN LARGER "FLAT" PACKAGES, THEY WILL COST CONSIDERABLY MORE TO SHIP;
Also note that some items are REALLY large and will cost $100 or more to ship overseas, so please bear this in mind before bidding on these "actual cost of shipping" items
)

(Note: Insured quotes are based on a $200 value; you pay $1.60 more for each additional $100 of insurance)

Type of Shipping Canada/Mexico Australian, Asia,
& Japan
Everywhere Else
(inc Europe)
Priority Mail Int'l - Uninsured $43.19 $51.93 $53.11
Priority Mail Express Int'l - Uninsured $58.05 $70.93 $66.41
First Class* (under 4 lbs ONLY) $22.71 $24.61 $24.38
*First Class has a weight limit of 4 lbs so there is a maximum number of items that can ship via First Class (for example, 50 lobby cards OR 20 folded one-sheets), but bear in mind that is at the maximum weight of 4 lbs which will cost more than the estimates above (the cost to ship 50 lobby cards OR 20 folded one-sheets via First Class is approximately $50, depending on where you live).

Note: This is assuming there are no backing boards included. We generally ship "sets" of lobby cards without boards and "single" lobby cards with boards. We estimate up to 25 cards with boards can go First Class.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear these approximate shipping cost in mind BEFORE you place a bid (if you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large "brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (plus $3 for packaging materials)!
