Our 2010 Winter Special Non-U.S. Mini/Major Auction has an incredible selection of posters (929 items in all!), covering all years, genres, and 32 different countries!

  • Part I (Tuesday February 16th to 23rd): 582 non-U.S. posters from 28 different countries (all will be shipped rolled in tubes)
  • Part II (Thursday February 18th to 25th): 347 non-U.S. posters that ship flat or in really oversized tubes or packages

What distinguishes OUR Special Non-U.S. Mini/Major Auction from other major auctions?  Only the lack of any reserves or buyers premiums!  You will find an amazing selection of posters from all years, genres, and countries, all accurately described, with unenhanced super-sized images!

AN IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE ABOUT PART I OF THIS AUCTION! In the past, we have charged the "actual shipping cost" for all items in our mini/major auctions.  But we were able to put ONLY rolled non-oversized items in Part I of this mini/major auction, so we are only charging $10 U.S. shipping to those who purchase solely from Part I (if you also purchase from Part II, where it the actual shipping cost, then you will pay $10 U.S. shipping for the items from Part I and actual shipping for the items in Part II, unless some of the items can be combined, in which case you will pay actual shipping for the combined items).  So all of the items in "Part II" are "actual shipping" for both U.S. and non-U.S. customers, while the items that close on the 23rd in "Part I" are $10 U.S. shipping.

SPECIAL BONUS OFFER TO EVERY BUYER IN THESE AUCTIONS!

INCREDIBLE! Every buyer from EITHER of the two parts of our "2010 Winter Special Non-U.S. Mini/Major Auction" receives a great full-color printed t-shirt as a free bonus (even if you only purchase one item)!
Every buyer in this special auction will receive the great full-color T-shirt pictured at right, which shows the image from the After the Thin Man Belgian poster (we will only be making as many t-shirts as there are different buyers in these auctions, so it will be a VERY limited edition, and likely will become a "collector's item" in its own right!). Given that you get this great full-color T-shirt with any purchase, shouldn't you absolutely find any one item to purchase from us from among the 929 items in these special auctions?
*Note: we give this shirt (which costs us $9 to $11 each at wholesale, because they are very high quality) to anyone who purchases one or more items in these auctions. BUT KNOW THAT YOU ONLY GET ONE SHIRT, NO MATTER HOW MANY ITEMS YOU PURCHASE, AND WHETHER OR NOT YOU PURCHASE FROM ONE OR BOTH PARTS OF THIS SPECIAL AUCTION.

Please also note that, because many of the posters in the two parts of this auction are un-backed and rolled, we will NOT send the t-shirt together with your purchase if you solely purchase those posters. We will hold it on your account if you solely purchase unbacked rolled posters, and we will add it to the next flat package you receive from us.  Of course, if you purchase any items that need to go in flat packages, or linenbacked posters, we CAN put the t-shirt in with them.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S EVEN MORE!  The above offer is for anyone who purchases any ONE item from either part of this mini/major auction.  But if you are a member of our weekly e-mail club, we will be offering our most generous bonus offers ever to those who purchase just FIVE items from either or both of the two parts combined (you need just purchase a total of five items from both parts).  We will have multiple great offers for those who purchase as few as five items, and as many as twelve or more, and you get these just for being a member of the club (so if you are not already a member, and over 6,000 collectors already are, then why not join today by going to http://www.emovieposter.com/mail/clubsignup.php).

Special Notes About This Thursday's Items

HERE IS A CHART OF THE ITEMS IN THIS AUCTION:
(to better help you find the sizes and countries that interest you; note that some of the posters in this special auction are linenbacked, some are unbacked, and one is paperbacked; also note that some of the posters need to be sent in 32" tubes, some in oversized tubes, some in oversized flat packages, and some in our standard flat packages, and because all this we have divided the items into the following five sections)

All of the following are linenbacked and need to be sent in tubes but can NOT be combined with non-backed rolled posters:
1m001-1m020 Belgian
1m021-1m023 Spanish from Spain, Spanish/U.S.

All of the following are unfolded and not backed and need to be sent in oversized tubes:
1m075-1m084 English (40x60, door-panel), Japanese 40x58, German (2p, 33x47)

All of the following are folded and not backed and need to be sent in oversized flat packages (a few can be sent in standard flat packages):

1m296-1m298 Swedish (paperbacked), Indian
1m299-1m309 Chinese
1m310-1m327 Japanese 29x41
1m328-1m347 British quad

About these 347 Non-U.S. Posters (from 18 different countries)
Note that many of the posters we are selling this week were never folded.  SOME of the posters were once folded (or partially folded, as in tri-folding), but all of those have been stored flat for a long time and will be shipped rolled in tubes, along with the completely unfolded ones.  We will NOT re-fold any of the "formerly folded" posters, except in the very rare cases where the poster has not "lost" its folds due to laying flat, and where the poster would cost less to send if it is re-folded, than to send it in a tube.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BUYING A LINENBACKED POSTER FROM EMOVIEPOSTER.COM AND FROM BUYING ONE FROM ANYWHERE ELSE?
The following applies solely to the LINENBACKED posters we are auctioning: The great plus about buying a linenbacked poster from eMoviePoster.com is that you have an assurance of "genuine-ness" and you know the amount of restoration the poster has had, and you know the quality of the restoration, WHICH IS TRUE OF VERY FEW AUCTIONS OTHER EMOVIEPOSTER.COM!
Not only did we extremely carefully check every single linenbacked poster we are auctioning to make certain that it is a genuine poster that has had only the restoration we describe (and in many cases we saw the poster prior to linenbacking), but we also give an ironclad 100% money back guarantee if any of the linenbacked posters we auction ever prove to not be genuine.  Other auctioneers may SAY they have a similar guarantee, but do you really want to  hope that they will honor it (plus, there is every possibility that by the time you discover a problem with one of their posters, they may well have "moved on" to auctioning other kinds of items, and with eMoviePoster.com, you KNOW that we have done nothing but auction movie posters for over 20 years, and we are definitely not going anywhere)!
And when the day comes that you want to re-sell a linenbacked poster in your collection, it will make a big difference if you can say that you purchased it from eMoviePoster.com, because then others will also know that it is surely genuine and accurately described (assuming you reuse our condition description and/or our image [we will provide the purchaser of any item our unwatermarked image of the item they purchased, if they request it])!

About the Condition
Note that we give an overall condition grade to every item we sell ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", "good", and "fair", with only a few graded "poor") along with more details about the condition described in words (but pretty much only if they are defects that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized images, or if the item is especially valuable).  We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily.  Of course, we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the item for minor defects that we did NOT describe.

Payment Options
We accept all major credit cards, either directly over the phone at 417-256-9616 during our regular business hours which are Monday to Friday, 9 AM CST to 5 PM CST except between 12 and 1 when we take lunch, or you can e-mail us payment details, and there are still a few people who fax us!

If you like to pay via Paypal
(our PayPal e-mail is "mail@emovieposter.com"), that is fine, but know that PayPal has many glitches, and you should ABSOLUTELY e-mail us separately when you send us a PayPal payment!

You can send a check or money order (if you do, enclose your address and details about what you purchased) to:
Bruce Hershenson
Attn: Payments
P.O. Box 874
West Plains, MO 65775

If it is your best payment option, you can pay by Western Union (unlike SOME auction sites, we are not prejudiced against Western Union!). But please don't send cash (as we can't be responsible for lost cash)!

U.S. Shipping Details

IN THIS SET OF AUCTIONS ONLY (Part II of our 2010 Winter Special Non-U.S. Mini/Major Auction), all buyers (U.S. AND non-U.S.) must pay the actual cost of sending your order, plus $2 for the packaging materials (this is different than the items in Part I; if you purchased items from Part I as well, then we will combine those with these purchases, if possible, but you will then have to pay the actual cost of shipping for the combined package).
Can we send your order in a less expensive way? We have purchased movie paper items many hundreds of times over the Internet ourselves, and we have seen the tubes that other sellers use (both the free kind and the kind purchased at shipping supply stores), and the protection offered by those tubes is spotty at best (those cheaper tubes will often get bent resulting in creasing or tearing to the poster, or in extreme cases, a tube can even lose a cap from an end resulting in the buyer receiving a tube but no posters!), so please do not ask us to use a lighter weight tube or less expensive packing materials to save on shipping, because we won't do it!  We know that once you see our tubes you will agree that they are a great investment in protecting your purchase(s) and you will wonder why other sellers of vintage movie paper do not use these same tubes (and if somehow you don't agree with us, we ask you not to bid at all)!

Will your order be shipped to you by UPS?
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will need to pay the extra $2.50 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it up.  But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.
IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED!

You CAN usually combine shipment!
NOTE: Depending on what you purchase, these Thursday items need to be sent either rolled in oversized tubes or in oversized flat packages (see the chart above in the "Special Notes" section to determine which) so...

*lots 1m001 to 1m074 can NOT be combined with any of our other auctions because rolling linenbacked posters with non-backed posters can result in damage to the un-backed items.

*lots 1m085 to 1m295 can be combined with these auctions:

  • Thursday February 11th complete and incomplete sets of lobby cards
  • Sunday February 14th movie magazines, presskits, glass slides, German programs, bulk lots
  • Sunday February 21st movie magazines, presskits, glass slides, German programs, bulk lots

*lots 1m075 to 1m084 and 1m296 to 1m347 can be combined with these auctions:

  • Tuesday February 16th half-sheets and Japanese posters
  • Thursday February 18th inserts
  • Tuesday February 23rd Special non-U.S. Mini/Major Auctions

Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single set of Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items, but we also allow you to wait until the next five sets of auctions end (a total of six sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions (if possible), and that means there is a chance you could combine items from up to six of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package). We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF U.S. SHIPPING!

Non-U.S. Shipping Details

Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order (you can choose whatever method you prefer), plus $2 for packaging materials. All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or uninsured at the time they pay for their order. KNOW THAT IT CAN BE BETWEEN SOMEWHAT EXPENSIVE AND EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE TO SEND THESE OVERSIZED ITEMS OUTSIDE THE U.S., AND THE BELOW CHARTS ARE ONLY A VERY ROUGH GUIDE TO THE ACTUAL COSTS. We do not make a penny on the shipping (because we charge the actual cost), BUT PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THE SUBSTANTIAL ADDED SHIPPING COSTS BEFORE YOU PLACE A BID ON THESE ITEMS!

Here is a chart containing estimated shipping charges for up to 3 rolled oversized items from this week's auctions
(Note: Insured quotes are based on a $200 value; you pay $1.60 more for each additional $100 of insurance)

IMPORTANT! We charge the "actual" cost of shipping this week (plus $2 for packaging materials) to all buyers (U.S. and non-U.S.), because we are selling items of 100 different sizes, and our shipping estimate charts below for non-U.S. buyers are only of limited use, due to the wide variance of the size of the packages, so if knowing the actual shipping cost is important to you before you bid, please contact us with the item or items, along with where you live.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear this shipping cost in mind BEFORE your place a bid (if you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large "brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!

Do you have a friend or relative who lives in the United States? Some of our customers either visit the U.S. regularly, or have friends or relatives within the U.S., and often those customers have us send their orders to a U.S. address, and then they transport the posters from there. THIS CAN SAVE YOU A GREAT DEAL ON SHIPPING! This is fine with us, but realize that you still need to let us know within one week of receipt if you want to return anything, so don't use this method unless you are certain you will want to keep your purchases.

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (both within and outside the U.S.). We only add $2 for packaging materials (and on a week like this, when we use very large tubes and flat packages, the $2 usually does not come close to covering the cost of those materials).

You Can Add More to Your Order
In addition to our current auctions, we offer many other non-auction items. Please note that the items in this week's auction will be sent in very oversized flat packages OR rolled in oversized tubes, so you can sometimes add any item that can also be sent in very oversized flat packages OR rolled in oversized tubes for no additional shipping costs, depending on what items you purchase (see above). We have noted below whether the items can be shipped rolled or not.
