Harold Ramis was born in 1944. He was one of the only members of The National Lampoon Show who did not go on to Saturday Night Live, but he joined SCTV instead (one of the funniest TV series ever). as a performer and writer. In 1978 he wrote Animal House, surely one of the funniest movies ever. He then wrote Meatballs, and wrote and directed Caddyshack, and wrote and co-starred in Stripes in 1981, one of the most amazing three year runs of creativity! In 1984 he wrote and co-starred in Ghostbusters, and in 1993 he co-wrote and directed Groundhog Day. What a career! Ramis passed away in 2014 at the age of 69.
