ROY ORBISON

Roy Orbison was an early legendary rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) singer (with a three octave range and one of the greatest falsettos ever!) who achieved major success with such songs as "Crying" and "Oh, Pretty Woman". In the 1980s, he performed with Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, and Tom Petty in the "Travelling Willburys", and he recorded a duet of "Crying" with K.D. Lang. He passed away in 1988 at the age of 52 from a heart attack.
