PENNY MARSHALL

Penny Marshall was an actress and director from the 1960s to the 2010s. She's done mostly television, and will be forever best remembered as the title role as Laverne on TV's "Laverne & Shirley". She is the sister of director Garry Marshall, who directed many beloved TV comedies, and in recent years, Ms. Marshall has turned to directing, with substantial success in movies like "A League of Their Own" and "Big". She passed away in 2018 at the age of 75.
