Ruby Keeler was an actress from the 1930s to the 1980s. She was married to Al Jolson, and their marriage was partially the basis for the several versions of "A Star is Born" and "The Jolson Story" (but Keeler refused to allow the producers to use her name). Some of her movies include: Gold Diggers of 1933, Footlight Parade, 42nd Street, Wedding Planner, That's Dancing, and Dames. She passed away in 1993 at the age of 83.
