Audrey Meadows was an actress from the 1950s to the 1990s. Publicity on her in the 1940s said that she was born and brought up in Wuchang, China, and spoke no English until she returned to the U.S. as a young girl (that was slightly stretching the truth, because she was born in the U.S., but her parents moved to China soon after, and they left China when the Communists took over)! She is best remembered as Alice Kramden from TV's "The Honeymooners". Some of her movies include: Rosie, Take Her She's Mine, and That Touch of Mink. She passed away in 1996 at the age of 73.
