JACKIE CURTIS

Jackie Curtis was an actor, writer, singer, and Warhol superstar from the 1960s to the 1980s. He performed as both a man and a woman, and while performing in drag he would wear lipstick, glitter, and brightly colored clothing. His style of trashy and glamour has prompted assertions that he inspired the glitter rock or glam rock movement of the 1970s. He was also cast in the movies Flesh and Women in Revolt. He passed away in 1985 at the age of 38.
