Max Ree was a Danish architect, costume designer, scene designer and art director from the 1920s to the 1940s. He won an Academy Award for Best Art Direction for the 1931 film Cimarron, and some of his other works include: The Private Life of Helen of Troy, Framed, and Side Street. He passed away in 1953 at the age of 63.
