Earl Grant was a black African American pianist, organist, vocalist, and music teacher from the 1950s to the 1960s. He was born in Oklahoma in 1931, and in 1957, he was signed by Decca Records and he had several chart hits and a gold album that sold over a million copies. He appeared in two movies. He is best known for his keyboard and vocal performances. Tragically, he died in a car crash in 1970 at the age of 39.
