Sally Sage was Bette Davis' stand-in in 37 of her movies, and they were personal friends. When Miss Davis had her famous lawsuit against Warner Bros., she insisted that the studio give Sage a contract as a bit player so that she would continue working while Miss Davis was out, which is why she appeared in 13 movies without Miss Davis.
