JAMES FORD

James Ford was a mostly uncredited actor from the 1920s to the 1940s. He had a very promising start when he was an extra in The Divine Lady, and star Corinne Griffith was "so struck by his good looks and capable acting" that she recommended he be made into a leading man, and because of her, First National signed him to a long term contract! But he didn't have much success, and by the end of 1929, he was pretty washed up, and he had a string of uncredited roles, through 1948, when he quit the movies for good. He passed away in 1977 at the age of 73.
