NAPPY LAMARE

Nappy Lamare was an American jazz banjoist, guitarist, and vocalist from the 1920s to the 1980s. He was of a member of the Ben Pollack orchestra and after Pollack left, Bob Crosby took over the orchestra in 1934, and Lamare remained with him until about 1942, performing in records and films, sometimes as a vocalist. Some of his movies include: Holiday Rhythm, Music Man, and Ben Pollack & His Orchestra. He passed away in 1988 at the age of 80
