KOBE BRYANT

Kobe Bryant was a black African American professional NBA player from the 1990s to the 2010s. Drafted from high school, he remained with the Los Angeles Lakers throughout his entire career, winning five NBA championships. Kobe also won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in in 2018 for Dear Basketball. Sadly, he passed away in 2021 at the age of 41 in a helicopter crash, along with his 13 year old daughter and seven others.
