JACQUES TATI

Jacques Tati was a legendary French director who started out as a comic and pantomimist in French theaters in the 1930s, and during France's occupation in World War II, he lived in a small French town where he got the idea to make a short film about the postman in that town, and it never was finalized, but after the war, he revived the idea and turned it into this, his first feature film! Since that time, he has only made a handful of additional films, but everyone agrees he is a comic genius! Some of his movies include: Jour de Fete, Mon Oncle, Mr. Hulot's Vacation, and Playtime. He passed away in 1982 at the age of 75.
