IRENE CASTLE

Irene Castle was a ballroom dancer and actress from the 1910s to the 1920s. She was married to fellow dancer Vernon, and their story was later portrayed by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers! Some of her movies include: Patria (in the title role), The Firing Line, and French Heels. Sadly, Castle outlived three of her four husbands. She passed away in 1969 at the age of 75.
