Ring Lardner was a sports columnist and short story writer from the 1900s to the 1930s, best known for his satire about sports, marriage, and the theatre. Some of his works include: You Know Me Al, The Real Dope, and Zanzibar. He passed away in 1933 at the age of 48 from a heart attack related to tuberculosis.
