CYRIL ENDFIELD

Cyril Endfield was a writer and director from the 1940s to the 1970s. After directing several films (including the last Our Gang shorts), he was blacklisted in Hollywood when he was named as a Communist at a HUAC (House Un-American Activities Committee) hearing. He moved to England and continued to write and direct under various pseudonyms. Some of his films include: The Underworld Story, Tarzan's Savage Fury, Mysterious Island, and Zulu. He passed away in 1995 at the age of 80.
