MELINDA DILLON

Melinda Dillon was an actress from the 1960s to the 2000s. She is surely best remembered for playing the mother in A Christmas Story, and for her starring role in Close Encounters Of The Third Kind (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film). Some of her other movies include: Absence Of Malice (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), and Magnolia. She passed away in 2023 at the age of 83.
