Pete Hamill was an journalist, novelist, and columnist from the 1950s to the 2020s. He had a long-running newspaper column in the New York Post. Some of his books include: Why Sinatra Matters, Loving Women, The Guns of Heaven, and A Drinking Life: A Memoir. He wrote a couple of screenplays for movies, and at one time he was romantically connected to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis! He also was one of the four men who disarmed Sirhan Sirhan after Robert F. Kennedy's assassination. Pete passed away in 2020 at the age of 85.
