DONALD GRAYSON

Donald Grayson was an actor from the 1930s to the 1940s. His career is one of those sad Hollywood stories you read about. He got his big break when Roy Rogers became a major star and a new singer was needed for The Sons of the Pioneers, and he sang a song with them in "Dodge City Trail" in 1936. He then made a few more movies for Columbia, including this one, where he got great billing. He left to join Spike Jones and His City Slickers in the early 1940s, but then his career went rapidly downhill, due to his major alcohol problems, and he passed away in 1958, at just 49 years of age.
