THEODORE ROBERTS

Theodore Roberts was an actor from the 1910s to the 1920s. He was born in 1861, and he started on the stage in 1880. When movies started, he quickly became a major star, even though he was over 50, and appeared in 23 of Cecil B. DeMille's movies, earning him the nickname of "The Grand Duke of Hollywood". His most famous role was in the 1923 version of The Ten Commandments, where he starred as Moses. He passed away in 1928 at the age of 67, and his funeral was attended by 2,000 people!
