CARLOS GARDEL

Carlos Gardel was a French Argentinean singer, songwriter, composer, and actor from the 1910s to the 1930s. Many consider him to be the most prominent figure in the history of tango. Some of his movies include: The Big Broadcast of 1936, Tango Bar, and Las Luces de Buenos Aires. Tragically, Gardel passed away in an airplane crash in 1935 at the height of his career in 1935. He was 44 years old.
