EUGENE ORMANDY

Eugene Ormandy was a Hungarian conductor and violinist from the 1920s to the 1980s, who became famous as the music director and conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Under his direction, the Philadelphia Orchestra had three Gold Records and won two Grammy Awards. Ormandy passed away in 1985 at the age of 85.
