Harry Richman was an singer and actor from the 1920s to the 1950s. Some of his movies include: Kicking The Moon Around, Puttin' on the Ritz, and The Music Goes 'Round. His main claim to fame was getting involved with Dick Merrill, who made the first round trip crossing of the Atlantic, with Richman as his co-pilot. Richman had helped finance the trip, and some of Merrill's subsequent flights, going with him on some of them, but causing Merrill lots of problems! As the IMDb puts it, "Richman is little known today but he holds a strange place in aviation history as the co-pilot, principal financier and very nearly the destroyer of the first round-trip trans-Atlantic flight". Richman passed away in 1972 at the age of 77.
