CHUBBY CHECKER

Chubby Checker (born Ernest Evans) is a singer and songwriter from the 1960s to the present. His is probably best known for his 1960 cover of Hank Ballard's "The Twist". Some of his other works include: Pony Time, Limbo Rock, Peppermint Twist, Lovely Lovely, and Slow Twisting. He also appeared in 1960s teen movies, including: Teenage Millionaire, Twist Around the Clock, and Don't Knock the Twist. As of 2021, he is still alive at the age of 79!
