CHRISTIAN BALE

Christian Bale was born Christian Charles Philip Bale in 1974 in Wales. He began his acting career at the age of 12 in the TV movie "Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna". By the next year, he was cast in Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun. In 1992 he appeared in Disney's Newsies. But he really came into his own in 2000 with his lead role in the cult film American Psycho. After that career making role, he has been cast in a slew of great roles including: The Machinist, Batman Begins, The Prestige, 3:10 to Yuma, The Dark Knight, Terminator Salvation, The Dark Knight Rises, Fighter (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Big Short (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and American Hustle (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film)
