Richard Kiley was an actor from the 1950s to the 1990s. He was a very fine dramatic actor who had success in the 1950s with movies like The Blackboard Jungle and The Phenix City Story. In 1966, he displayed his previously hidden wonderful singing voice when he got the role of a lifetime in Broadway's "The Man of La Mancha", and Hollywood, in its eternal stupidity, cast Peter O'Toole in the Hollywood movie based on the show, instead of Kiley, because he wasn't a "big enough" name! He passed away in 1999 at the age of 76.
