MINNIE PEARL

Sarah Cannon (known by her stage name Minnie Pearl) was a country western personality comedienne from the 1930s to the 1990s. She was famous for wearing hats that had a price tag on them and for her down home country greeting "Howdeeee". She was a 50 year member of the Grand Ole Opry, and was a cast member on TV's long running show "Hee Haw". She passed away in 1996 at the age of 83.
