CAROL YORKE

Carol Yorke was an actress and fashion columnist from the 1940s to the 1960s. Her only movie role was a bit part in the 1948 Max Ophuls movie "Letter from an Unknown Woman". Afterwards, she moved to New York and began writing a column for the fashion magazine "Women's Wear Daily" where she brushed shoulders with several affluent actors, writers, businessmen and politicians. Sadly, in 1967, she lost her battle with leukemia at the young age of 38.
