SYBIL LEWIS

Sybil Lewis was an actress from the 1940s. Some of her movies include: Mystery in Swing, Revenge of the Zombies, and Miracle in Harlem. She was a talented black African American actress who chose to only make all-black movies in the 1940s, so that she wouldn't have to play the stereotyped roles so many of her contemporaries were forced to take; sadly, this talented actress only appeared in 10 movies. She passed away in 1988 at the age of 68.
