DICK BUTKUS

Dick Butkus was a former professional football linebacker, playing exclusively for the Chicago Bears from 1965 to 1973. He is considered one of the most feared tacklers of all time, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1979, and his No. 51 jersey is retired by the Bears. Following his playing career, Butkus worked in acting, sports commentary, and celebrity endorsement. He was active in philanthropy through the Butkus Foundation, which manages various charitable causes. He passed away in 2023 at the age of 80.
