Helene Chadwick was an actress from the 1910s to the 1930s. She was William Wellman's first wife from 1921 to 1933. Her career faltered after the advent of sound, but many directors hired her as an extra in the 1930s, for old time's sake (including former husband Wellman, who put her in his 1937 "A Star is Born"). Some of her movies include: The Long Arm of the Manister, Heartsease, Godless Men, and A Star Is Born. Sadly, Chadwick died in 1940 at the age of 42 after a fall.
