LEONID BREZHNEV

Leonid Brezhnev was a Ukrainian politician, serving as General Secretary of the Soviet Union and presided over the country from the 1960s to the 1980s. His eighteen-year term as General Secretary was second only to that of Joseph Stalin in length. He passed away in 1982 at the age of 75.
