ESTHER ROLLE

Esther Rolle was a black African American movie and television actress from the 1970s to the 1990s. Some of her movies include: Cleopatra Jones, Driving Miss Daisy, and Cape Fear, however, she is best remembered for her role as Florida Evans on TV's "Good Times" (which was a spin-off from the "Maude" TV show, where Miss Rolle appeared as Maude's maid).
