Ozzie Nelson was a movie and television actor and singer from the 1940s to the 1970s. Some of his movies include: Take It Big, People Are Funny, and The Impossible Years, however, he is best remembered for his role on the long running television (TV) sitcom The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet alongside his real life wife Harriet Nelson. Note that Harriet was hired by Ozzie to be the vocalist for his orchestra in 1932. They married three years later, and appeared in some movies together, but they were billed separately, and she was still billed as "Harriet Hilliard". They both continued working after the births of their two sons, David and Ricky, but in 1944, they started a radio show, "The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet", and in 1952, it moved to television, and continued until 1966 (and during that time, son Ricky became a rock 'n' roll legend, first performing songs on their show!). Nelson passed away in 1975 at the age of 69.
