CARLOTTA KING

Carlotta King was a stage actress and opera singer in the 1920s. She was signed to play a leading role in The Desert Song in 1929, and MGM signed her to a one-year contract, intending to make a musical version of Rose Marie, but the production was repeatedly delayed and Miss King quit MGM and never appeared in another movie! King passed away in 2000 at the age of 101.
