JIMMIE DAVIS

Jimmie Davis was an amazing singer, songwriter, and politician from the 1930s to the 1970s. He surprisingly served two terms as Governor of Louisiana, and made movies while Governor. He also wrote the song "You Are My Sunshine". He passed away in 2001 at the age of 101! Some of his movies include: Square Dance Katy, Mississippi Rhythm and Frontier Fury. Once he was Governor, he was referred to as Governor Jimmie Davis for the rest of his life!
