LUCY DORAINE

Lucy Doraine was a Hungarian actress from the 1910s to the 1920s. She married Michael Curtiz when she was 20 in 1918 and she made movies in Hungary with him over the next five years, at which time they divorced, but she continued to make movies with him and other directors. When Curtiz went to the U.S., she followed him, but she never really caught on in American movies, and she made her last appearance in 1931, although she lived many decades longer, passing away in 1989 at the age of 91.
