This email club started in August 1998, when I sent an email to around 40 collectors I knew (see that first historic club message here: https://www.emovieposter.com/club/returnmessage.php?id=1). I posted about it on several online forums, and by the third message it had 258 members!

At that time, I had not yet begun selling online at all! It would be almost a full year before I began listing items on eBay, and many of you will be surprised to know that at first I listed just as much on Amazon, which in 1999 was trying to compete with eBay on collectibles!

I think you will be amazed at how much great content there is, on every subject imaginable, and reading through them also serves as a mini-history of the hobby over the past 30 years! ALSO NOTE THAT ONCE OUR AUCTIONS GO TO EVERY FOUR WEEKS, THESE CLUB EMAILS WILL BE EVERY FOUR WEEKS  AS WELL, FOR TWO REASONS:

1) A big part of the shift from weekly auctions to bi-weekly ones to every four week ones is my desire to work less, and be able to take more trips and vacations. Only having to prepare a club message every four weeks rather than every two week will help me do that!

2) After 999 near weekly messages, most of what could be discussed HAS been discussed.
