Film Description One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, the classic 1975 Milos Forman (Best Director & Best Picture Academy Award winner) mental institution black comedy ("Based on the novel by Ken Kesey"; about a man in a mental institution; one of the only cases where a great novel was made into a equally great movie, and they changed it around, to boot!) starring Jack Nicholson (in his Best Actor Academy Award winning role), Louise Fletcher (in her Best Actress Academy Award winning role), William Redfield, Danny De Vito, Christopher Lloyd, Scatman Crothers, Will Sampson, and Brad Dourif (in his nominated for Best Supporting Actor Academy Award role). Note that this was the first time in 42 years that one movie won the four top Academy Awards!
More About This Item Featuring Ugurcan Artwork This Turkish poster measures approximately 27" x 39" and was never machine folded! An unfolded poster is almost always far more difficult to find than a folded poster of the same title, and finding unfolded posters in excellent condition is even more difficult!
Overall Condition: very good Notable Defects: There are creases, small tears, and slight discoloration around the edges of the poster; minor creases throughout the image. Otherwise, the poster is in pretty nice condition!
Explanation Of What This Condition Grade Means: This item has survived in pretty nice condition, but has some relatively minor imperfections. If they are within the image, they are not very distracting at all, or they may be in the blank borders, where they will not show when the item is displayed. We may have written a few words about those imperfections, but we may not have, as they are relatively minor, and you can likely see them by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual item (if they are the type that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized image, like faint water staining or tape on the back, we ALWAYS describe that in words).
More About This Poster Type: Turkish movie posters are similar in size to U.S. one-sheets, and often measure 27" x 39". They often contain both the Turkish title and the U.S. title in large letters, but some have the English title in small letters, and some have no English title at all. They almost always have very different graphics from the U.S. posters, and sometimes they have artwork that appears on no other poster! They are printed on a high quality paper stock (in some ways as good or better than that used for 1960s U.S. one-sheets). Turkish posters are not dated, so it is difficult to know exactly when the poster was released, but it seems likely that most of them date from after the first U.S. release, but usually likely within a few years of the U.S. release (except in the case of a much later re-release). If we have a guess as to when the Turkish poster was released, we put it on the auction, but otherwise we put the original year of release. Please do not buy any Turkish posters unless you can live with the uncertainty as to when they were released.
